The Food Service Department (FSD) provides support school nutrition support to schools. The FSD team is passionate about school nutrition and strives for excellence as they support schools with meeting program requirements.
The FSD supports schools with the management of their food service programs, School Breakfast Program (SBP) and National School Lunch Program (NSLP), to provide students with tasty, healthy meals that adhere to federal nutrition guidelines.
Our focus revolves around compliance and safety, to ensure that every student has Free access to Breakfast, Lunch, Snack, and Supper Meals prior to leaving school campus each day. The FSD concentrates on the following areas, to guarantee schools are observing program requirements:
- Compliance with State/Federal Guidelines
- Food Safety Training and Implementation of systems
- Monthly and Annual Reporting
- Student and Family Engagement
- Local Wellness Policy (LWP)
