Health Compliance
The Health Compliance team provides services that encompass consulting, training, and ensuring schools adhere to mandates set forth by LACDPH and CADPH.
Services include:
- CPR (adult, child, and infant) + AED training: Coordination with Lifesaver Team CPR which gives 2-year certification through American Heart Association
- Annual Epi Pen training and acquisition of Epi Pen sets: Coordination with PRN Nursing.
- Acquisition of Narcan nasal sprays: Coordinates the acquisition of these sprays for schools in case of opioid overdose.
- First Aid Training: Provides guidelines and medication education taught to school staff regarding students with medical needs such as seizures, diabetes, and anaphylactic reactions.
- Medical Liaison: Supports with communication between school staff members, family, doctor/clinic, and LA County Department of Public Health in regard to medical issues
- Compliance Support: reviews medications, immunization forms and medical exemption forms to ensure schools are in compliance with state mandates.
